Of Mice And Aliens?!

Star Trek is the basic future that most people think about there are aliens, some friendly some hostile, advanced technology, and space exploration. In this movie we have the best technology to heal people and we have spaceships that are able to carry 1,000's of people at a time. At this point in the future the government even control space but the government isn't only run by humans there are aliens who also want to maintain order between races and species throughout the galaxy. This movie is an exciting take on the future and knowing that we might find aliens one day makes you actually want to consider if we really want to. Who knows how they will react, they might be very hostile and might want to deplete Earth of its resources or they could end up wanting to just destroy it. Until aliens decide to show themselves to us we will never actually know what they might want or if they even exist.

Robot Boxing

In the future we can assume that sports are bound to change no matter whether we like it or not, in the movie Reel Steel they give us an example of this change by bringing us robots who can box. This seems to be a way to keep humans out of the ring because of dangers but using robots they are able to make bets and have fun watching the sport of boxing without anyone getting hurt. In the movie the technology with robots is what advanced other than that the world hasn't changed very much if one was to think about it this could be the more realistic change that will happen later on in the future because flying cars and teleporters are a bit drastic of a change. Robots are able to take commands from the owner and dish them out in the ring against their opponents or they can be in a certain mode called "Shadow Mode" which allows the robot to copy who ever it is paying attention to, a form of mimicry. This technology is advanced but it isn't too far from us, today we have certain things like motion sensors that detect movement who's to say we aren't on the verge of being able to create robots that can copy our movements. This could be proved to be very useful technology depending on how it is used. If society uses it as they do in the movie it could be very profitable and people won't be the ones getting hurt in the ring.

Aliens v.s Our Upgraded Military

      Halo 3 is a great game that portrays the future in a very exciting way. At this point in future we have discovered that aliens do in fact exist and aren't exactly willing to be friends with us. We are at WAR with aliens and our only hope is basically the government who has the technology to make people super soldiers called Spartans these individuals are tall and very strong and the suits they wear protect them from damage and supply them with the air they need to fight in space against the alien threat. Spartans are the few in the military that were chosen to become much greater and be able to improve the impact that they have in the war against the aliens. The famous Spartan 117 or know as master chief is supposed to be the luckiest of them all because he has survived so many obstacles and still is alive due to the suits ability to really absorb damage. Life on earth is still pretty much the same people still have their religions, and earth isn't destroyed or taken over by anyone. Technology is in fact very advanced in this future because we were able to study alien technology and put certain twists on them, for example the bubble shield that master chief uses in the clip above can protect you from any type of projectiles and explosions harmful things stay in and as long as you are inside you are safe.

Machines Take Over

      In the movie 9 the director shows the future in a negative way by showing how machines have taken over. We are the only ones to blame in this case because the scientists were trying to create a machine of progress so it was actually able to learn new things BUT since the machine lacked a soul and a conscience it doesn't know right from wrong. The government wanted to shut the project down but the scientist insisted that they continue when the machine saw it self being shut down as a threat so it created a bunch of different war machines that were unmanned it went around killing everyone and destroying everything in it's path. One scientist was able to create 9 small puppet people whom he had inserted pieces of his soul into and they have to destroy the machine. The machines are the basic top race in this movie because they see the humans as imperfect so they rid the world of them.
